Featured Doula: Brianna Urbiel
Q: What is your astrological sign?
Q: What item could you not live without if stranded on a desert island, and why?
A: My kindle! I can go anywhere in a book.
Q: What was the last movie you saw?
A: "Wait until dark." I'm an old move junkie.
Q: If you could go back in time, what year would you visit, and why?
A: I would go back to 1998 and tell myself (as a high school freshman) that everything will be ok, and to just be me. People will like me for it.
Q: What inspired you to become a doula?
A: I witnessed a lot of friends very unsatisfied with their own birth experiences. The more I looked into it, I realized that they had so many options that they never knew about! I want to help women that want to have positive birth memories.
Q: Tell us about yourself!
A: I love running, movies and I'm passionate about women's issues and informed about birth empowerment. I am interested in one day becoming a child birth educator, but right now I want to utilize my compassion and support skills to help in any way I can. I look forward to this journey! I'm also passionate about GBLT issues and welcome the chance to use my doula skills in helping birthing women in any family situations, regardless of sexuality or identity.
